Foot problems can be congenital (having been born with) or can be acquired over time. No matter how it was developed, correcting the problem can reduce pain, provide better balance and lead to a healthier lifestyle.

Congenital defects in adults are rarely seen in the United States any longer since we firmly recognize the ability to mold newborn feet. On occasion, an adult who still has tendencies to “toe in” or “toe out” will been seen in our office for a condition that is related to his congenital defect, but it is not very common.

We are more likely to see defects that are acquired with age and caused by any number of lifestyle situations.

Those defects include:
• Hammer Toes and Claw Toes
• Bunions
• Painful Flatfoot or Fallen Arches
